Does the AI know you exist?

Drop in a domain. Find out if ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, AI Mode, and Gemini are citing you, name dropping you, or pretending you do not exist.

One free check per day. Resets at 00:00 UTC.

How it works

One domain. Five engines. Forty seconds.

  1. 1

    Drop in a domain

Type any domain. We guess the country from the TLD. Or pick a market manually if you serve more than one.

  2. 2

    We ask the robots

In parallel, we query ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, AI Mode, and Gemini through the SE Ranking AI Search dataset.

  3. 3

    Read the verdict

You get a one word verdict, citation and mention totals, and a clean per engine breakdown with citation positions.

What we measure

Four numbers that actually matter.

Skip the vanity counters. These are the signals AI search teams watch when they decide which domains the model should trust.

Citations
How often the engines actually link to your domain. This is the one that pulls real traffic. A citation beats a name drop every time.
Brand mentions
How often the model name drops your brand without linking. Weaker signal. Still a signal. The model has put you on its mental map.
Traffic potential
How much monthly traffic you could pull from AI answers if you climbed the citation list on the prompts the models already answer in your space.
Citation position
Where you sit when you do show up. Position 1 is the source the model leans on. Position 8 is a footnote. Lower number wins.

Reading the verdict

Ghost. Showing up. Quoted. Pick one.

Three bands so you can act without doing math. We weight citations harder than mentions because citations are the ones that send actual traffic.

VerdictThresholdWhat it means
They quote you.3+ citations or 5+ brand mentionsThe engines treat your domain as a source. They link. They name you. Keep publishing. Defend the lead.
Showing up.1 or 2 hits across the boardYou exist on the radar. A few sharper AIO friendly articles flip you into the Visible band.
Ghost.0 of eitherNothing. Nada. The fix is structured, evidence rich content with clear AIO summaries. The kind COMAS writes by default.

Where it breaks

This is a sample. Not the whole internet.

Honesty beats hype. Here is what this tool is and is not.

A sample of prompts. Not all of them.

Models answer billions of unique queries. We check a representative sample of high volume prompts per category. A 0 means you did not show up in the tracked set. It does not mean nobody on Earth ever asks ChatGPT about you.

Brand name collisions are real.

If your brand is also a common word, mention counts can balloon. The dashboard version lets you override the brand string. The free version does not.

Engines change their mind.

Models retrain. Source weights shift. A check today is a snapshot of today. For a real trend line you want the COMAS dashboard, where the same data tracks over time per project.

Country matters. A lot.

AI Overview citations are wildly local. A US only site checked against Germany will look like a ghost. We auto guess the market from your TLD. Override it in the dropdown if you are global.

Who uses this

For people not waiting for the rest of the SEO world to catch up.

  • SEO leads

Find out which engine is asleep on your content. Brief your writers around the prompts you should already own. Stop guessing.

  • Founders

Check your category before you launch. If a competitor owns ChatGPT and Perplexity for your core prompts, you have a problem. Now you know.

  • Content teams

See which engines pull from your articles. Double down on the formats they like. Stop writing for crickets.

  • Agencies

Paste a client domain. Get the report in 30 seconds. Walk into the next pitch with proof.

Inside COMAS’

The same data feeds the COMAS’ agents.

This free check is one snapshot. Inside COMAS’ the same dataset runs every day, per project. So the agents know exactly which prompts to chase next.

  1. 1 Step 1

    Researcher

Pulls real sources, studies, and statistics. Every claim has somewhere to land. No vibes.

  2. 2 Step 2

    Writer

Drafts the article around your keyword, search intent, and a stance you actually hold.

  3. 3 Step 3

    Editor

Tightens structure. Fact checks. Drops in the AIO summaries that make AI Overview citation possible.

  4. 4 Step 4

    Humanizer

Rewrites the whole thing in your brand voice. Voice learned from your real articles. Not a slider.

  5. 5 Live monitoring

    GEO tracker

Inside the COMAS' dashboard the same SE Ranking AI Search data powers a live GEO tracker per project. Per engine. Per prompt. With deltas vs last month.

Most tools just generate. COMAS’ generates and then measures. The agents know if they actually moved the needle.

FAQ

The questions you were going to ask.

Real questions. Honest answers. No marketing fluff.

What is a GEO visibility checker?

A GEO visibility checker measures how often a domain shows up in AI answers. ChatGPT. Perplexity. Google AI Overviews. AI Mode. Gemini. Think of it as the rank tracker for the post Google web.

How do you know if my site appears in ChatGPT?

We query the SE Ranking AI Search dataset. It monitors thousands of real prompts per category and records which domains get cited or named in each engine's answer. A citation count of 1+ for ChatGPT means your domain showed up in at least one tracked prompt this period.

Why only one check per day?

Each free check fires off five engine queries plus a brand discovery call against a paid AI Search API. One per visitor per day keeps the lights on for everyone. Reset happens at 00:00 UTC.

My domain scored zero. Is your data broken?

Probably not. Most domains genuinely score zero across most AI engines today. Generative search is new. It is concentrated. Fixing it is the whole point of COMAS'.

Which country does the check run in?

By default we guess from your TLD. .de means Germany. .co.uk means United Kingdom. .com defaults to the United States. Pick another market in the dropdown if you serve multiple regions. GEO results vary heavily by locale.

Do you store the domain I check?

We store a hashed IP and the date so the daily cap works. We store the domain string so we can analyze anonymized usage. We never store the raw IP. Results themselves are thrown away after each check.

How is this different from the COMAS dashboard?

Inside the COMAS' dashboard we track GEO visibility per project on a 7 day cache. You get prompt level drill down. You see the actual LLM answer text. You can override ambiguous brand names. This free tool runs the same per engine summary, once a day, for any domain.

How do I actually improve my GEO visibility?

Three moves. One. Write structured H2 led articles with clear AIO summaries at the end of each section. Two. Cite primary sources. Models like to quote pages that themselves quote experts. Three. Keep publishing in your category so the model treats you as a regular. The COMAS pipeline does all three by default.

Now what

Knowing the score is easy. Earning the citations is the work.

COMAS’ is a team of agents that writes long form articles built to be cited. Structured H2s. Real sources. AIO summaries baked in. All in your brand voice.
